I wasn’t supposed to win.
I didn’t grow up with generational wealth, life coaches, or safety nets. I grew up in San Francisco — not the tourist postcard version, but the real, gritty, survival version. I was raised in a home shaped by love, addiction, strength, loss, and everything in between.
By the time I was eight, I had already seen things no kid should have to process. But I survived. I learned to observe, adapt, and rebuild myself piece by piece. My story isn’t one of perfection — it’s one of progression.
I still live in Frisco, I have grown within the ranks of Biotech and I eventually achieved a degree in Mechanical Engineering. It was a hard road, but it’s the road I was meant to travel, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
