If you could have dinner with any philosopher, who would it be?

The Blueprint Connection: Stoicism centers on the “Locus of Control”—the realization that you cannot control your environment (like growing up in chaos or a tough concrete jungle), but you have absolute, unfuckwithable ownership over your response to it.

I would want to understand how and why he developed the idea behind Locus of Control. What event, singular or as a whole that helped him discover this profound idea.

My understanding is, and this sounds cliche, but you can only control what you can control.

Focusing on things outside of your reach of control, is futile. But controlling your response, and how you react can turn the worse situation into the best.
