I first became aware of the theory of cold fusion while watching The Saint. I have a lot of fond memories of the movie as well.
Seeing an essential American version of James Bond was fun and interesting, but it’s classic, and I was happy they left it at a single movie.
In that movie, they discuss the theory of cold fusion, which is limitless energy near room temperature.
A single LENR(Low energy nuclear reactor) could likely power a relatively small city. The applications are limitless, but the clean energy it would provide would be great for everyone.
I am likely not to see this in my lifetime, the process of fusion releases a great deal of energy, mostly in heated form.
This would also reduce the costs energy. So that means less cost to consumers. Which also makes me wonder, could this be discovered but not developed?
I mostly think if anything, like air, someone will figure out a way to monotize it eventually.
